Filling Applications

As we get older, some changes begin to appear in our skin. With age, our skin, subcutaneous tissue and bones decrease. When all these reasons come together, a decrease in the volume of the face, sagging and wrinkles occur. Filling applications are applications that help eliminate all these negativities that develop on our faces over time. Effectiveness begins to be seen as soon as it is applied. In addition to adding volume to the face, it also increases collagen production and contributes to skin tightening, thanks to the hyaluronic acid it contains.

Why are fillings made?

Filling applications, which started with small amounts of bovine collagen in the 1970s, have gained a new dimension in recent years with the production of hyaluronic acid-based fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a molecule found in our body that has the potential to fill intercellular spaces and retain a very high amount of water.

Do fillings cause allergic reactions?

Since hyaluronic acid is present in our own body, it is not expected to cause an allergic reaction. Hyaluronic acid fillers are produced under laboratory conditions, in sterile environments, and are not of animal origin.

How long does the filler effect last? Can fillings be melted in undesirable situations?

Although it depends on the structure of the molecule in the filler, the effectiveness of the fillers lasts for 10-18 months. In cosmetically undesirable cases, hyaluronic acid-containing fillers can be dissolved using hyaluronidase enzyme.

Is Filling Application Painful?

Filler application is done with thin syringes or non-sharp tipped cannulas. Therefore, it does not cause significant damage under the skin. Filling applications do not generally cause pain. However, for sensitive people, applying local anesthetic creams to the application area 15-20 minutes before the application significantly reduces the development of pain and makes the filling application comfortable.

When does the event start to appear?

After the filler is applied, it shows its effect immediately in the applied area. However, the real effectiveness begins to be seen more clearly as water retention occurs in the applied area.

What Should Be Considered Before and After Filling Application?

Before the procedure, blood thinners, vitamins such as coenzyme Q, vitamin E and green tea should not be consumed. The use of blood thinners may cause bruising during and after application.

The treated areas should be avoided from contact with water for at least eight hours. It is recommended not to enter the sea or pool for the first 24 hours. You should not be in environments such as saunas or Turkish baths for 1 week after the procedure. The treated area should not be massaged too much.
