What is Eczema?

Eczema is a disease that begins with complaints of skin redness, watering and itching, and then causes skin thickening.

What are the eczema subtypes?

-Atopic dermatitis

-Irritant contact dermatitis

-Allergic contact dermatitis

-Diaper dermatitis

-Stasis dermatitis

-Nommular eczema

-Seborrheic dermatitis etc.

When should patch testing be done?

Patch test is a test used to distinguish irritant contact dermatitis from allergic contact dermatitis. Cutting off contact with substances tested positive will ensure that the complaints regress.

The most important point in the treatment of eczema is to identify the type of eczema and the factors that may exacerbate eczema, if any, and try to avoid them. In addition to the treatments given according to the type of eczema, it is important to use moisturizers regularly.
